AWARDED ASSISTANCE TO

FIREFIGHTERS GRANT!

February 12, 2010 - North Charleston, South Carolina – The Ashley River Fire Department received $66,685 from the 2009 Assistance to Firefighters Grant program.  This highly competitive program received 19,791 requests for assistance from fire departments nationwide. 

The funds from this award will be used to purchase/replace obsolete communications and command/control equipment in addition to training materials and courses for our firefighters.
